To Register as a Volunteer:
Volunteer registration is now completed during registration of your player. You'll see there are many roles to fill besides that of coach, so please read through the description below before deciding which role you'd like to be in. If you do not have a player to register and are interested to volunteer, the process is the same, but you do not select a player to register. Volunteer options are available for registration from your "My Account" homepage: Click on MY ACCOUNT --> VOLUNTEER --> FIND VOLUNTEER ROLES
Beginning this year, we are implementing the additional step of a required Abuse Awareness Training for all of our volunteers regardless of level of involvement. It is effective, concise and practical training that can be completed in about 10-15 min. Please click the provided link to the training site. Once you complete the training please send a copy or .pdf of your certificate of completion to [email protected] and "cc" [email protected]. Once the training is complete and the certificate has been submitted, upon completion of your Volunteer form and subsequent approval, you will be added to the active volunteers list.
Abuse Awareness Training
NWLL’s work is made possible by a committed group of volunteers. There are plenty of opportunities for everyone, regardless of baseball/softball experience. Please contact League President Tim Stoker ([email protected]) if you are interested in coaching or joining the board.
COACHING/ ASSISTANT COACHING / MANAGEMENT: Coaches are needed at all levels so please consider volunteering! Coaching Little League can be one of the most rewarding things you ever do with your child, ask any parent who has done it.
You do not need to be a baseball expert. To help every coach excel and make it a successful season, NWLL provides free Coach Training clinics to give you the tools to give your players the skills needed to have a fun and rewarding season.
Each team has a manager, head coach, and at least one assistant coach. All managers are required to attend at least one coaching clinic, and all coaches are encouraged to do the same. Once the basic skills (movements and reps) and practice structure and planning are learned, things get very fun, very fast (once the kids are moving and improving at each practice.)
For the older leagues, experience and training are more critical and the league takes an active role in evaluating and selecting these coaches so our players have the best coaching we can provide.
If you are interested in a coaching or management position, please contact Tim Stoker at [email protected] and he will put you in touch with correct board member.
